Philosophy of FIT
Functionally Integrative Therapy is a therapeutic process focusing on the synergy of our mental health and physical well-being. With the help of a professional versed in both the mind and the body, FIT is designed to reshape the clinical approach. My experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Nutrition Coach and Certified Personal Trainer have given me the unique skillset to bring FIT to life.
With the ever growing presence of mental health in today's society, understanding what helps and what doesn't has become more and more challenging. In conjunction with talk therapy, I aim to explore how Movement, Nutrition, and Relationships impact our perceived self, which ultimately influences our internal thoughts, mood, and behavior. All aspects of FIT's work operates through the lens of trauma informed care.

Steve Roth
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Certified Personal Trainer
Certified Nutrition Coach
Steve has worked in the therapeutic field for over a decade since receiving his Master's Degree internationally. He has helped individuals with various mental health concerns such as Anxiety, Depression, Addictive Behavior, Personality Disorders, Trauma and more. He views his therapy style as eclectic, and pulls from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Parts Work, and Family Systems to name a few. He believes that the use of modalities provides a helpful framework to guide healing and growth; yet, the power lies in the therapeutic bond that forms between client and therapist. Equally important, yet often overlooked, is the scientifically proven link between intentional physical movement and healthy nourishment to improve overall well-being.
Steve is passionate about trail running and rock climbing with his wife and 3 dogs in the Wasatch Mountain range, as well as resistance training in the gym, and cooking fresh meals. Some of Steve's most memorable experiences include completing two ultra-marathons, traveling to 26 countries, and living out of his Volkswagen Rabbit during his young adult years to explore Utah. Originally from a suburb of New York City, Steve found solace in nature, and spent much of his teens climbing in New Paltz, NY.
